Post: THE DODI ISLAND PROJECTAs a component of our community development initiative, the Christ Impact Lives Foundation, in partnership with Act of Hope Ghana, ventured to Dodi Islands in rural Ghana to enrich lives. Ten resolute and dedicated volunteers undertook a courageous and challenging journey across the Volta Lake to reach Dodi Island on April 20th, 2024. Our mission encompassed various initiatives aimed at enhancing the well-being of the island’s inhabitants.The project involved comprehensive health screenings and entrepreneurship training, catering to the diverse needs of approximately 200 individuals, including men, women, and children from the island and its environs. A particular focus was placed on empowering women through practical sessions on producing household essentials such as liquid detergent, bleach, and softener. Concurrently, medical assessments for glucose and hemoglobin levels were conducted for men, children, and select women.In addition to these interventions, essential items, including toiletries, clothing, and food provisions, were distributed among the community members. The success of this endeavor is attributed to divine protection from God almighty and also to the unwavering dedication and exceptional commitment of the team members, all donars whose efforts have fostered positive change and sustainable development in the region.
